UNUM shares are back in turmoil again on the Dow Jones index on Wall Street. UNUM has suffered bad publicity in recent years with law suits in America and the BBC investigation in to the company's business practices.

Unum the beleagured payment protection insurance company has seen it's shares continue to plunge amid revelations that the company suffered a massive 42% loss in net income over the last 12 months. Expect Unum shares to continue to drop for some time.

Following on from Unum's disasterous fourth quarter results which reveiled a massive 42% loss in net income, the companies shares are back in decline. We expect the shares to possibly collapse to as low as the $6 it hit just 4 years ago.

Problems Seem to be Getting Worse and Worse for UNUM....and it's shareholders

The beleagured American Unum Group (UNM) said late Monday that fourth-quarter net income came in at $160.5 million, or 44 cents per common share, down a massive 42% from a year earlier when the disability insurer made $276.1 million, or 80 cents per common share.

Just 4 years ago Unum's shares sank disasterously to just $6. We predict a similar drop is on the cards.
